Where To Buy Motorola EM1000R 20-Mile 2-Way FRS/GMRS Radio, Pair

20 miles is a really long distance.

And according to the information found on the packaging,
Motorola does NOT make the claim that these pair of walkie-talkies
use the cellular phone network to carry the signal (conversation)
between they who use these walkie-talkies, but it would seem that
the signal goes DIRECTLY from one walkie-talkie to the other.

In cellular phone networks, the signal is carried to the nearest tower,
"strengthened" or "energized" (i.e., made more powerful) and then
transmitted to another tower, which might send out a signal (weak or
strong, I do not know) to another cellular phone, or chorded phone.
When the cellular phone networks were first being built, there were
not that many towers, and so cellular phones had to transmit a
relatively high energy signal to reach a distant tower. Remember, those
early stories about "brain cancer" being correlated to cell phone use?

The point is, these walkie-talkies do not appear to be safe, considering
that the signal has to be strong enough to be transmitted and received
20 miles away...When I was a kid, I was given a pair of walkie-talkies as
a gift. The range of those walkie-talkies was less than 100 feet. And the
sales person told me and my brother that if we wanted a distance greater
than that we would have to have a license. Apparently, somebody in
government had decided that for distances greater than 100 feet there
might be radio interference with police or other emergency broadcasting
networks. That was over twenty years ago...The point is, a walkie-talkie
with a signal strength that only goes 100 feet, is less likely to be correlated
with a future incidence of brain cancer, than a walkie-talkie with a signal
strength that reaches 20 miles or more.

A positive correlation between two variables does not imply causality.
If somebody shoots you with a gun, and the bullet penetrates your skin,
you cannot say with certainty that the bullet CAUSED your flesh wound.
Only that God ALLOWED the bullet to penetrate your skin (flesh). For
all things are possible with Him, but that does not mean all things will
be. God causes things to happen, or he allows them to happen. It is
written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. And so a reasonable man,
with some understanding of physics and statistics, and the history of
cigarette companies, will avoid purchasing (acquiring) a pair of
walkie-talkies with a range exceeding 1 Km. Since apparently no "relay
stations" are being used to boost the signal between these two
communication devices.

This product is being marketed primarily to them who work outdoors.
Will some corporate executives opt to issue their employees
walkie-talkies rather than cell phones, to destroy (kill) them with
brain cancer? Perhaps the employees they want to have around will get
issued the more expensive cell phones? Are cigarettes a form of
population control? A tautology: Enquiring minds want to know.Get more detail about Motorola EM1000R 20-Mile 2-Way FRS/GMRS Radio, Pair.
