I am not new to working out. I have done Slim in 6, Slim Series, Turbo Jam, 3 weeks of Power 90X (gave up) and Jillian Michael's DVDs. I was looking for something light to do for a few months. I liked P90X and I like Tony but I felt that I just wasn't ready for it. So I decided to try P90. Maybe it was too easy for me. I got bored with the cardio workout right away and started doing other cardio DVDs on cardio days....Turbo Jam or if I was short on time, Jillian Michael's kickboxing. When I moved onto Sculpt 3/4 I liked it much better and felt that I was getting a good workout. I started to see my arms and chest getting toned from all those pushups! However, I think that 3 months of doing the same thing is boring...at least for me. I started to dread the sculpt days and only looked fwd to my cardio days when I did Turbo Jam. I made it to the last week and decided to move on to my next workout. I think P90 is good for beginners...however you should also consider trying Slim in 6...it is also designed for beginners and weight loss but it's only 6 weeks. You also do the same workout every day for 6 weeks but at least it's not 3 months!
In Conclusion: I like Toni, I think he's a great instructor and yes, I even like his corny jokes. His exercises are the real deal and you will feel them and get results. If you are just starting to workout, then this will be a good one to start with. And if you follow a healthy diet and commit to the workouts, you will see results. You may get bored but that may be a small price to pay. If you are not a beginner then it may not be challenging enough for me and you may be bored sooner. It's worth a shot though.
