Where To Buy Victorinox Swiss Army Tinker with Free Classic Knife

first thing's first; if you don't think you are ever going to use this knife, or you don't see yourself carrying it with you every day, don't get it. for you it's utterly useless. but for everyone else, in my opinion this is the best knife you can get. i have sampled many different knives, but the victorinox company produces the best. everything about thier knives, from the shiny red hand grips, to the satisfying "thuk" the blade makes when closing is absolutely first rate. don't even consider another possibility, no matter who or where you are, this knife is the one for you. this knife is the perfect balance between function and weight. you don't need the kitchen sink, and a knife that's only a knife is almost useless.

now about the actual knife; they come rather sharp straight out of the box. if you plan on using the knife as a prying tool, or for other heavy jobs you may want to actually dull it a bit; the extremly thin edge sadly does not take too much punishment, but that's the price of a good edge. if you want to sharpen the knife a little more, do so very carefuly it would be a shame to ruin so beautiful an object. use a whet stone, than sandpaper and then a strop. for those of you who don't happen to have a whetsone lying about thier house, and don't know what a strop is, sandpaper can also be used however the blade will have`a scratchy edge. i use the large blade for tough jobs, and the small blade i keep very sharp for jobs requiring a lot of finesse, like whittling. for more information on knife sharpening, there are literally thousaands of sites on the web whose whole contens are instructions on such.

about the tools, the most commonly used one, i find, is the flat edge driver on the can opener. because it is so small, it can also be used on phillips screws. the canopener is useful for opening cans in a pinch. you can get a canopen in ten to fifteen seconds depending on the size of the can, and your devotion topracticing camping skills. the bottle opener can also be used as a mini crowbar. i use the flat edge driver at its edge mainly for prying. the wire stripper isn't for heavy duty work, and the wire has to be notched so it can catch on the wire stripper's edge. the phillip's driver on the side is actually excellent for freeing stuck screws, because it has a lot more leverage. the awl thingy works well as an awl; it must be rotated while working, though. i understand you can also use the little hole in it for sewing, however it does not strike me as the most efficient way to sew. but if you were shipwrecked and had to sew together sails for your escape raft, i guess it would save you a lot of time.

i use this knife at least ten times a day. it is perhaps the most useful tool in the world. whatever the case, if you do choose to get this knife, you will be extremly satisfied, i promise.Get more detail about Victorinox Swiss Army Tinker with Free Classic Knife.
