The trainers at the gym make great use of BOSU balls so I was thrilled to see this offered as a Gold Box deal. In addition to the BOSU ball, it comes with a stand and stability bar as well as a training DVD and resistance handles to add to the workout.
The box it comes it is large and a little heavier than I expected. Assembly of the stability bar was easy. It took me about 15 minutes to put everything together. The foot pump is adequate to inflate the ball but you must be quick with the plug or you will be reinflating it again very soon.
I have not yet used the DVD but the instruction book came with several recommended exercises and I was already familiar with exercises you can do with the BOSU ball so I started immediately. It is a great tool to tighten abs, gluts, hips and thighs. It's also great for working on balance - something I have a lot of trouble with. At the gym we don't have the stability bar but I was glad to have it at home as I start learning new and more challenging exercises it is nice to have something to prevent me from falling.
